Hsinchu 2nd Branch Conference


The Hsinchu 2nd Branch Conference will be held Sunday November 30th. from 9 to 11 AM. All members, friends and anyone interested in leaning more about the Church are invited to attend. 
The topic of the conference will be taken from the scripture found in Luke 8:50 "Fear not: believe only..." and Isaiah 41: 10  "Fear not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness".

New Mormon.org

The Church has put out a new Mormon.org website where people can view new videos, testimonies of members, find answers to life's deepest questions, and even chat live with missionaries to ask questions about the Church, the purpose of life, what happens after death.  Click here to visit the new Mormon.org.

Repentance and Change

The gospel of Jesus Christ challenges us to change. "Repent" is its most frequent message, and repenting means giving up all of our practices—personal, family, ethnic, and national—that are contrary to the commandments of God.

The living Prophets and Apostles of our day have repeatedly advised members of the Church, and all willing to listen, to stay out of debt and learn to manage finances wisely. Free Chinese Classes to be held in new Chubei Chapel

As part of a service to the English speaking community in the Hsinchu/Chubei area, missionaries and members of the Hsinchu 2nd Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offer a free weekly Chinese class. Come join us at our new location at the Chubei Chapel located in the corner of Zhongyang Rd. and Wenchang Rd.

About the Hsinchu English Branch

Welcome to the Hsinchu 2nd Branch
The Hsinchu 2nd Branch is a congregation of English speaking members (and non-members) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living in, or visiting the Hsinchu/Chupei area. The congregation meets every Sunday morning with the first meeting (Sacrament Meeting) beginning at 9 AM. All are welcome to join us in our meetings.

This site does not constitute an official site for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or any of its units. It exists mainly to provide information about the location of the English Branch in the Hsinchu/Chupei area. How To Get There

The easiest is to take a taxi. But if you are taking a bus from Hsinchu, you can pick up the bus that goes to Hukou or Jongli in front of Sogo. Get off at the McDonald's on Zhonghua Rd. in Chubei.  Cross the street and walk down Zhongyang Rd. As soon as you look down Zhongyang Rd. you will see the Chapel on your left.

If you will take a taxi, we suggest you print out the address for the chapel in chinese to show the taxi driver.

Mormon Channel

The Mormon Channel is the official radio station of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The channel originates from Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah and broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Content for the station comes from the vast archives of the Church, along with several new series created specifically for this station. The Mormon Channel also features great programming from various partner organizations, includingDeseret Book, Bonneville International, Deseret News, LDS Business College, and the campuses of Brigham Young University.

You can listen to the Mormon Channel live online anytime at radio.lds.org. There are also downloads and podcasts of content available at the same address.

Find Meetinghouse Near You Anywhere in the World

With the New LDS Maps that the Church recently put out, you can find the meetinghouses nearest to you wherever you are in the world. 

When you arrive at LDS Maps, enter your address  or simply the city where you are at or where you want to find a meetinghouse. Enter the country and press search. Once you have done this you can find the  chapel/chapels nearest to you! The map will show you some numbers inside a red circle that will show you where the nearest chapels to the address you imputed are found. Try it, it's a great resource for those traveling a lot and needing to find a Chapel to attend Church Services on Sunday or to contact the or a bishop in your area.

First Presidency Christmas Devotional

The First Presidency Christmas Devotional will be held Sunday, December 7, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. mountain time. The devotional will feature the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square. Members of the first presidency will be the speakers.
